About Our Founder

Carole Lyles Shaw, is a consultant working in organizational change, leadership and management development, teambuilding and strategic human resources planning. She is known for her ability to help leaders and their groups engage in challenging and productive action oriented conversations about complex topics, as well as her creativity in designing high impact group experiences.

Her clients include Pearson plc (global publishing company), Deutsche Bank, the World Bank, Social Security Administration, the District of Columbia Government, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, U.S. Department of Commerce and major associations, non-profit groups and others. Carole’s work has taken her around the world including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Argentina and the United Kingdom.

In addition, she is a frequent presenter, workshop leader and writer on leadership, emotional intelligence and other topics. Her past speaking engagements include the Virginia State SHRM annual conference, the Washington DC Black Human Resources Network Annual conference, the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources Annual Conference, the Non-Profit HR Conference and the Leadership Forum of the National MultiCultural Institute conference.

Prior to her career as an external consultant, Carole served as a Human Resources Executive for Citicorp and other firms. Carole teaches in the graduate programs at Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University and American University. She received an MBA from Columbia University and has pursued graduate courses in management and public policy at George Washington University and the University of Southern California.

After determining the specific needs of each client, we select a team of experienced Senior Consultants. Our consultants have several years of experience in the private and public sectors, and bring a comprehensive knowledge of their area of expertise. Their goal is to provide innovative and pragmatic solutions to our clients' problems. Consultants assigned to a project are drawn from in-house staff and a national network of experienced management consultants and trainers. All consultants hold advanced degrees and certifications in their fields, and have several years of internal and external consulting and management experience.
